The finder that wasn’t

I stumbled across a mockup for a new OS X finder dating back a year or so, and it seems perfect; the new Leopard finder is great, but there are so many little things about this I love:


Important attributes show below the name - picture resolution, movie length, document word count, etc.
Different file types can be easily shown and hidden, and each type can be shown differently (so you can make the icon size for movies larger then text documents)
A much cleaner, more vibrant look

It’s a shame the apple dev team didn’t focus on a design like this, rather then try to mold the finder into the itunes interface
